Literary Agency

We represent authors whose
voices move us and stories that have something real to say.

Championing Voices That Matter

We represent authors and their creative work to publishers for print editions as well as to digital, audio, and film platforms. Think of us as the bridge between your creative vision and the publishing ecosystem.

As a small team, we only take on very few projects that truly speak to us.

What do We Look for?

We look for voices and manuscripts that fill a gap, document knowledge, blur boundaries (or genres) or share fresh perspectives.

Books that get us excited, stunned, angry, happy, and sad. Books that are not predictable or formulaic.

Books that are a pleasure to read, and that stay in your mind long after you’ve finished reading.

Books that make us think.

Frequently Asked Questions

As a small team, we represent a small list of 10-15 authors at a time. Literary agenting is a small part of what Bound does, in addition to our creative communities, services, and educational programs. We want to do justice to each and every book we represent.
We can take up to 3 months to respond to pitches, depending on the fullness of our inbox.

This does not guarantee we will agent your book. We only take on a very small number of authors for this service a year, while building out and prioritizing the Bound ecosystem. We have a separate editorial team that oversees our agenting processes and all our submissions go through them.

We are open to all genres and subjects. However, our editorial team is particularly partial towards business books, memoirs and autobiographies, research-based nonfiction, genre-bending commercial fiction, and historical narratives.
