How To Evaluate And Edit Your Own Writing

with Tara Khandelwal

What comes after the first draft? Once you’ve completed your manuscript, the real work begins: revision. This hands-on course is designed to help writers step back, evaluate their own work with a critical eye, and strengthen their editing skills.
Editing is a skill, and not every writer is a good editor. But if you want your work to shine, you need to learn how to step back and evaluate it with clarity and objectivity. That’s exactly what this workshop will help you do.

We’ll guide you through key questions every writer should ask:

  • What does it really mean to look at your work objectively?
  • How do you know when your draft is the best version it can be?
  • And how do you know when it’s ready to send to a publisher?

Through practical exercises you’ll learn how to anticipate how a reader or editor might respond to your work. These skills will not only help you refine your current draft, but also strengthen everything you write in the future.
