Have you written poems that you want to perform or publish? Do you consider yourself a good poet, but are unsure of how to be better? Are you interested in being inspired by and discussing the works of authors from minority communities? Have you wondered what strategies the masters of poetry use that make their work timeless?

The Advanced Poetry Writing workshop is not for the feeble-hearted. We will move beyond the basics and dive deep into technique and form. You will leave each class with reading and listening assignments. You will receive feedback both from your peers and from your instructor. Over the course of the workshop, you will learn how to leverage your strengths to work and rework a single poem. That’s right. Four classes. Four rounds of edits. Eight hours of intensive poetry work. One polished poem. In addition to the four two-hour sessions, the workshop will also include a one-on-one session with the instructor in which you’ll receive personalised feedback on your poetry and style. Sign up no!
